Every year approximately 4 to 6 million animals are euthanized because there are no homes for them.
We recommend you spay or neuter your pet at approximately 6 months of age.
In addition to controlling pet overpopulation, spaying and neutering can improve your pet’s health. Spaying a female eliminates the possibility of uterine and ovarian disease and greatly reduces the risk of mammary cancer. Neutering a male reduces the risk of prostate disease and eliminates the risk of testicular disease. Neutering can also make your pet more affectionate and less likely to exhibit roaming, marking or aggressive behaviors.
