Drs. Tom & Jean Meyer

• Owners of Mountain View Veterinary Hospital, Tom and Jean Meyer were awarded their Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 1978.
• They married in 1979 and started Mountain View Veterinary Hospital.
• They have two grown children, Travis and Kristi, who are both currently in college.
• They live on a farm in Ridgefield with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 horses and cattle
• The current hospital opened at this location in 1981.

Dr. Christina Palena

• Originally from Lynnwood, Washington.
• Completed her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Veterinary Science at Washington State University.
• Earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors from Washington State University in 2004.
• She lives in Battle Ground with her husband, 3 cats and a dog

Dr. Joseph Beswick

• Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.
• Attended Florida Atlantic University for undergraduate studies in biological sciences.


• Graduated with a Masters degree in Entomology in 1999 after studying insect feeding behavior, physiology and evolution of insect-plant interactions.
• Studied renal tubule (kidney) physiology and molecular biology as well as tick-borne diseases and tick control in South Florida greyhounds and Puerto Rican tick populations.
• Was awarded a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
• He lives in Portland and has two Jack Russell Terriers.

Dr. Ruth Parkin

• Grew up in Washington.
• Graduated from the University of Washington with an economics degree.
• After a few years, she decided to fulfill her dream and go on to veterinary school.
• She graduated from Colorado State University of Veterinary Medicine.
• After practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada she is returning to her roots in Vancouver.
